CB SHEENS

During the '70s, Gretchen enjoyed playing on Caribbean beaches all day and dancing in Discotheques at night. Needless to say, seashells and Quiana dresses played a huge role in how Gretchen experienced and remembers color and light during that thrilling time of her life.

When she saw and felt the inside of bone-white Butter Clams she found on Bainbridge Island, she took them home and used them as vessels to hold her crystal collection. This color chemistry inspired her to create her Seashell Matte Finish.

Her twist on eggshell offers a suede-like buttery finish that makes her colors look insanely supple.

Then she decided to make the sexiest silkiest finish for trim and furniture, knowing it had to bewitch and bedazzle you.

Her Silkworm-Silk Satin Trim Finish is the most glamorous sheen on the market. Bonus, it's self-priming and comes with exclusive Insta-Smooth properties that make brushstrokes melt away right before your eyes.

However, the proof of quality is in her yogurt-stirring paint recipes, so thick and rich they make painting a pleasurable ritual.

This is not Gretchen's first paint rodeo. Read about her free-spirited journey, how she was meant to head out west as a young lady, and how she revolutionized the American paint industry with her originality and creativity.

GRETCHEN'S CB

Color Baggage started with Gretchen Schauffler, unpacking her own baggage when she came to this country and using it to thrive and survive in a new environment.

Amidst the constant change, a new culture, language, and natural landscape, Gretchen owned her internal rainbow of color experiences.

She embraced different shades of the same colors and used color to paint and transform her walls into a dynamic universe, aligning her with a deep sense of delight and satisfaction.

Then she helped others do the same! Here is what Gretchen Schauffler has learned about people's "color baggage" from over 4,000 paint projects over the last two decades: She believes people can't afford to be anyone else.

Trends are mass-produced, but color memories, experiences, attractions, and connections are custom-made.

Her wish for you is to claim your baggage, surrender to your color attractions, reflect who you are confidently, to let her paint color harmonies pave the way to growth and change."
