Sheen refers specifically to the level of gloss or shine present in a paint. It describes how much light the surface reflects—a higher sheen means more shine and light reflection (such as high-gloss), while a lower sheen means less shine and more absorption of light (such as flat or matte).
Finish is a broader term that includes the overall physical properties and appearance created by the paint, which encompasses its sheen level, texture, durability, and how it feels to the touch. The finish is determined by the formulation of the paint and can affect other factors like how well it hides imperfections, how easy it is to clean, and where it is best applied.

20 years ago, I painted the interior of my house with Devine paints. When I recently had electrical work done and the walls were damaged, it was time for a refresh. LOVE this beautiful color for my newly redone bedroom. The paint is a perfect blend of a cool, “lush” and smooth and is a delicately perfect tone for a light and bright room.

CB Ease is now my 2nd favorite color (after Devine Glass). It is SO peaceful and makes my second bathroom an oasis. Work is still on-going, so just a quick picture here. Ease is a light, light blue'ish turquoise color - so hard to describe because it moves with the light. I'm so happy this color found me.

I was THRILLED to find out that Gretchen brought back Glass to her color portfolio. I've used this color many times when Devine first came out and was struggling to find something similar for my new house. Glass is a game changer. Paint it in different areas of your room - the color itself is fluid - a light grey, a barely there green. Perfect for the PNW. It's an amazing color and the paint is like buttah. Thank you again!! I'll try and remember to add photos soon. I have a lot of painting to do!
