CB BEAD: Everything You Desire Is on the Other Side

"I imagined a beaded curtain and my deepest desires on the other side." — G

There's a motif that started everything for me — a hybrid I call the pinecapple. Part tropical pineapple, part Pacific Northwest pinecone. Two worlds, one symbol. A thing that shouldn't exist but does, and is more beautiful for it. That image became the hero of the CB wallpaper line — a symbol of transformation — and it planted the seed for CB BEAD, a symbol of intention and desire.

That's the spirit behind CB BEAD.

When I designed this pattern, I took the pinecapple and reimagined it as a 1970s beaded curtain — the kind you walk through without thinking, and suddenly you're somewhere else. For me, that curtain was always hanging between Puerto Rico and Portland. Two shorelines. Two versions of myself. And at any moment, I could step through. Later, I found that same feeling in rosaries and malas — beads strung together to hold prayers, to count desires, to keep your hands moving when your heart needs to speak.

Rosaries, malas, and curtains invite us to mark our comings and goings — of moments, thoughts, and actions — as one long string, connected by desire seeking intention. They are not decorative. They are devotional. Each bead is a breath, a prayer, a choice. It's discernment. It's presence. It's the refusal to pass through any threshold unconsciously.

Everyday rituals — passing through a doorway, pausing for a breath, lighting a candle — become beads on this string, each one a chance to choose again what you are devoted to. And yet we live in a world that rushes past thresholds without noticing them. We move through our own homes like strangers. CB BEAD asks: what if every doorway was an invitation? What if your walls could hold your intentions the way a mala holds a prayer?

The bead doesn't forget its place on the string. It knows exactly where it belongs.

That's not ritual for ritual's sake. That's wisdom made tactile.

CB BEAD settles into a space the way a long prayer settles into the body — rhythmic, layered, present. You don't feel its full depth immediately. You feel it in the pause before you enter a room, when something in the walls reminds you to arrive with intention.

Their symbolism is a source of empowerment and guidance — and that's exactly what this wallpaper is meant to be. A portal on your walls between who you are and who you are becoming. A reminder that desire and devotion, strung together, are how anything worth having is made.

So let CB BEAD take over your space. Let it be your curtain, your rosary, your threshold. Pass through with intention. And never stop moving toward your deepest desires.

Pray boldly. Cross freely. Desire deeply.

CB BEAD — because your most powerful life is always on the other side of intention.
